Please send in an email with attached Microsoft Word format document(s):
- A one-page, single spaced synopsis
- A bio or what has you be the best person to write this story, or what background do you have that had you write this book
- 3 chapters or 50 pages, whichever is longer, of your book
- A statement of what genre you think your manuscript fits best
Please put into the subject of the submission: your name, name of book, genre, and word count.
Please use:
- 12 Pt Times New Roman
- 1-inch margins all around
- One-half-inch indents for new paragraphs (using the ruler is preferred, or tab character at minimum and not just using spaces
- Double-spaced lines with no extra space between paragraphs
- Only one space between sentences
Before you email us, consider that publishers request writers to use Literary Agents as they receive poorly edited material and substandard written manuscripts. Take the time you need to get your work in the best shape possible. LRI expects publisher-ready, high quality manuscripts. Please send only your finest work. Anything below high quality will be rejected or requested to be revised.
We are running about two to three months in reviewing documents—sometimes sooner, sometimes longer. Feel free to contact LRI if you haven’t heard back in that time for a new estimate.
