Judith Bruni, Founder of LRI, was born in, San Antonio, Texas. Her father was in the US Army, and she attended 14 schools over the years in Texas, California, and Okinawa, gaining a wide view of society. She grew up appreciating the beauty of the written word. When it came time to work, she chose a different path to make a living. She worked for a Fortune 500 company where she gained her client-service, customer satisfaction, results-oriented, project management, and marketing/sales expertise. Judith married Mark Bruni in September 1990 and lives in Houston, Texas.
She has written poetry, articles, a book, short story, and a play, and in those processes understands what a writer goes through. These processes are what drove her to create Leslie Rivers, International as an agency for others. She is, like you, a writer—as well as your agent. As an emerging agent, she realized there were those who took advantage of writers. With LRI she intends to provide the stability and trust that was missing “out there.” Her aspiration is to assist others in fulfilling their literary dreams in publication. LRI is an emerging literary agency seeking new voices in the field.
Judith has published many articles in the Cherokee Messenger for the Cherokee Cultural Society of Houston and her neighborhood newsletter: Fleetwood Flyer. In the winter of 1998, Judith was honored as a nominee for "Writer of the Year" from Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers of which she is a member.
